Pumpkin Carving

Today we digitally carved pumpkins! I now have a better understanding of using photoshop  and I had a lot of fun making this pumpkin look realistic. It still doesn't look completely realistic, but I am learning to accept its diversity and individuality. Happy Halloween!!

Alphabet Project

In this project I definitely learned patience. This project took a long time, I also learned how to use photoshop to move images from one portrat to another. I had fun taking photos for this project. Most photos came from objects around my house and outside. I look forward to more projects soon.

Alfred Stieglitz

1. Alfred Stieglitz was an American photographer. He worked to promote Modern Art and make Photography an accepted form of art. He also opened many art galleries in New York to present his work.

2.
These are my two favorite photographs of Alfred Stieglitz. In the first photo, I love the reflection the tree produces off the water, the smokey/foggy atmosphere makes the photo feel mysterious. I the second photo, the texture and shape of the clouds interest me. They are really interesting and pretty.

3. Alfred Stieglitz was married to Emmy when he was invited Georgia O'Keeffe to work with him in his studio. Alfred had and affair with Georgia and later divorced Emmy to be with Georgia. Georgia O'Keeffe was a famous painter during the early 1900's. She would paint portraits on a large scale then paint the objects as if they were close up.

Extra: Georgia O'Keeffe provided the muse that Alfred Stieglitz wanted. This changed his style of photography. He began taking more portraits especially nude photographs of Georgia O'Keeffe. He was inspired by her and her work. His portrats began to increase in popularity to his peers and society around him.

Macro Photos

This has been my favorite project so far. I really enjoy photographing nature and landscapes, and to take macro photos of plants and other living objects have been so much fun for me. I learned how to use photoshop in greater detail including, how to blur the background and how to change the lighting of the the photos. This has really changed the way my photographs look. I am excited to take what I have learned about this project and use it when I take photos outside of school.

Tree Pinhole Positive

From this project I learned how to take pinhole photos. I also learned to be more careful about exposure time with the pinholes. My photo of the "Tree" didn't turn out as well because my exposure time was too long. I enjoyed doing the photograms, the photogram process was really fun! I am especially proud of my Gold Fish Photo, I think it turned out really good.

Tilt Shift

Tiny Toilets

Baby Bikers

Famished Family

Lonely Lanes

Dinner Date

For these tilt shift photos, I figured out what works best for tilt shift photos. Some turned out better than others based on the height of where the photo was taken and how clear the photo turned out. I really liked working with these photos, I thought this assignment was really fun to do and I am looking forward to doing similar  projects in the future.

Brownie Camera

The Brownie Camera introduced the concept of Snapshot. Founded by Beau Brownie in February 1900. This changed society, because the public was able to purchase cameras for personal use.
